[[Strength]] is a [[combat]]-related [[Skills|skill]] that significantly increases the damage dealt to [[Non-player Character|NPCs]] and other players when using melee weapons. It plays a key role in determining your [[Max Hit]]—the highest possible damage you can deal in a single melee attack.

Training Strength also grants experience toward your [[Hitpoints]], contributing to your overall [[Combat Level]] as well.

In ''[[HighSpell]]'', combat loosely follows a "[[Combat#Combat_Triangle|combat triangle]]":

* Melee excels at defeating opponents wearing lightweight gear with lower defensive stats, such as [[Range|rangers]] and [[Magic|mages]].
* However, melee users must close the distance to deal damage, putting them at greater risk in certain encounters.
* Your [[Defense]] stat still plays a vital role in reducing incoming damage regardless of your attack style.
