WastelandsWarning Just like in most multiplayer games, scammers exist in HighSpell. Below is a list of common scams to help educate players on how to avoid them and stay safe. However, new tactics can emerge at any time—so always stay alert and use caution when dealing with other players. Only trust others with what you can afford to lose. == Known Scams == Below are some of the more common scams currently seen in-game. === Blood Teleport === Blood Teleport can be used as part of a scam to lure players into the deep Wastelands. The spell frequently teleports users to this PvP-enabled area while cutting their Hitpoints in half. If someone tells you to withdraw valuable items and cast Blood Teleport, be cautious—they may be waiting at potential destinations to kill you. In deep Wastelands, teleporting to safety is not possible. === NPC Luring === Some players may try to earn your trust by offering free items—especially if you’re a newer player. Once trust is established, they might ask you to bring valuable or stackable items (often in IOU form) and follow them to a specific location. At that location, they'll already have aggressive NPCs positioned to target you. They usually stand in a safespot while keeping agro on multiple enemies, then log out—causing all the enemies to immediately target you. This often results in instant death, especially when the enemies can hit 7–10 damage each. === Wastelands Scams === The Wastelands are a PvP-enabled area where other players can kill you and take your items. Never follow someone you don't fully trust into the Wastelands—especially if they're encouraging you to bring valuable gear, lots of stackable items, or all of your Coins. There is never a good reason to meet a stranger in the Wastelands for a trade. If you bring items under their instruction for any reason, be prepared to lose them — permanently.
