On September 10th, 2025, an unknown player logged into the game and dropped hundreds of each color of ''Santa Hat''. The source of these hats remains unknown, though the most likely explanation is a duplication exploit. The player began by dropping dozens of hats at the [[Hedgecastle]] [[Bank]], before eventually releasing their remaining stacks; resulting in three extremely lucky players each obtaining [[IOU|notes]] worth hundreds of hats.

This sudden influx of supply caused the market for Santa Hats to collapse, with prices dropping from tens of millions of [[Coins]] each to roughly 50,000 per hat.
