HighLite

HighLite is a third-party desktop client for HighSpell that offers a suite of plugins designed to enhance gameplay and improve access to useful in-game data—all while fully adhering to the rules and Terms of Use of the game. HighLite is not a cheat client; it has been approved by Dew himself and aims to enhance the player experience without offering unfair advantages.

As with any third-party program, always exercise caution when installing software on your device. To ensure safety and authenticity, download HighLite only from the official GitHub repository. Additional resources—such as interactive maps and calculators—can also be found on the HighLite website.

Download & Safety

To avoid unofficial or malicious versions of the client, only download HighLite from the official GitHub repository or website.

Instructions

HighLite is packaged as an Electron application and provides Linux, MacOS, and Windows support.

Below are the instructions for downloading and installing HighLite on various operating systems. If you encounter any issues or need assistance, feel free to create a support ticket in the official Discord server.

Windows

1. Obtain the .exe file from the latest release.

2. Install HighLite
3. You will be prompted by the game client when launching to automatically install any future updates!

In Microsoft Edge, you may recieve a download warning due to HighLite not being commonly downloaded. You can typically resolve this by clicking "..." and selecting "Keep".

HighLite is currently un-signed due to the inherent cost of obtaining signing certificates for software. This results in install and download warnings. If they receive enough players (or complaints!) they will invest in obtaining certificates. You can resolve this by clicking "More Info" and pressing "Run anyway".

MacOS

1. Instructions Pending

MacOS builds go largely untested so they may be more prone to buggy behavior.

Linux

1. Obtain the .AppImage file from the latest release.

3. You will be prompted by the game client when launching to automatically install any future updates!

Features & Plugins

HighLite supports a range of toggleable plugins, allowing players to tailor their gameplay experience to their preferences. Below is a list of all currently available plugins:

HP Alert

Alerts you when your Hitpoints drop below a set threshold. Customizable options include:

• Alert volume
• HP percentage trigger
• Pop-up notification toggle
• Sound toggle

Idle Alert

Notifies you when you've stopped performing an action, such as Potionmaking or Harvesting. Custom settings include:

• Volume
• Tick delay threshold
• Pop-up notification toggle
• Idle screen overlay (screen flashes red)

Lookup

Adds right-click options for quickly accessing the HiScores page for a player, or the relevant wiki page for other game elements.

Nameplates

Displays name labels above players, NPCs, and your own character. Each can be toggled independently.

Enhanced HP Bars

Adds a new display below the mini-map showing large, easy-to-read health bars for both you and your current target. Especially helpful for AFK combat.

Enhanced Login Screen

Replaces the standard login screen background with a short video animation for a more immersive experience.

Context Menu Options

Customize your right-click context menu for specific interactions:

• Prioritize pickpocketing to allow left-click thieving
• Prioritize attacking to left-click engage NPCs otherwise requiring multiple clicks

Trade Alerts

Notifies you when another player sends a trade request. Custom options include:

• Volume
• Pop-up notification toggle
• Sound toggle

PM Alerts

Alerts you when a new private message is received. Custom options include:

• Volume
• Pop-up notification toggle
• Sound toggle

Coin Counter

Displays your total Coins in the lower-right corner near your inventory, including both Bank and inventory balances.

Note: you must access your bank once per session to begin tracking.

Experience Tracker

Tracks your current session's experience gains across multiple skills, including XP/hour and other stats. Accessible in the HighLite panel by clicking the 📊 button.

World Map

Adds a 🗺️ button to the HighLite panel on the right-hand side of the client. Opens an in-client world map centered on your current location. Ideal for new players or navigation assistance.
