Hitpoints is a combat-related skill that determines how much damage (health) a player or NPC can endure before dying. Food can be consumed to restore lost Hitpoints, and they also regenerate passively over time (one per 100 Ticks (60s)), both in and out of combat, allowing for gradual healing without food.

Experience in Hitpoints is gained indirectly—damage dealt through melee, ranged, or magical attacks is multiplied by a constant and added to the Hitpoints skill as experience.
