The Wastelands is a vast and dangerous PvP-enabled area where players can attack—and be attacked by—others at any time. If you die, other players can loot your items and equipment, making any venture into the Wastelands a calculated risk. High rewards await, but only for those prepared to face the threat of open combat.

The region is packed with unique content, including the infamous Wasteland Maze, Water Dragons, Cursed Goblins, entrance to the Undercroft Dungeon, and the formidable boss Damogui. There's also a dedicated scroll shop and various rare spawns and chests scattered throughout the zone.

PvP Level Scaling
The Wastelands feature a scaling PvP system where danger increases the deeper you go. At Wasteland depth level 1, only players within 1 combat level of you can initiate PvP. However, as you descend—reaching depths of level 5, 10, 20, and beyond—the allowable PvP range widens accordingly. For instance, at depth level 20, any player within 20 combat levels can engage you. The maximum depth is level 47.

The Wastelands use a progressive PvP level system: the deeper you go, the more dangerous it becomes. When you first enter at level 1 Wasteland depth, only players within 1 combat level of you can engage in PvP. However, as you move deeper—level 5, 10, 20, and beyond—the range widens. For example, at level 20 Wasteland depth, any player within 20 combat levels can attack you.
This progressive system adds high-stakes tension to exploration. The deeper your location, the broader the PvP threat range, but also the better the potential rewards. Many of the Wasteland's rarest resources and drops can only be found in its more dangerous zones.

This scaling system rewards risk-takers with better opportunities for loot, but also exposes them to much greater threats from higher-level players. Always keep an eye on your depth level if you're traveling with valuable items.
Because of this risk-versus-reward design, it's critical to keep track of your current depth—especially if you're carrying valuable items. Even a small step deeper can drastically increase your exposure to higher-level players.
