I started playing ''[[HighSpell]]'' on <abbr title="be with you">May the 4th</abbr>, 2025, and instantly fell in love with it. As someone who began playing ''RuneScape'' in early 2001, this game was right up my alley. | |||
After noticing that the old Fandom wiki was outdated and impossible to edit, I offered to host a new version — [[Main_Page|this one]]! I didn't know much about wikis at the time, just some light editing experience on other projects (''[https://brightershoreswiki.org/w/User:Spegal.Dev Brighter Shores]'' & ''[https://runescape.wiki/w/User:SpegalDev RuneScape]''). Learning how to set everything up here has been a challenge, but also incredibly rewarding. Thankfully, [[User:Elvendaele|Elvendaele]] was a huge help in importing data directly from the game files when we first launched the wiki. | |||

Over the summer of 2025, I made the decision to step back from ''HighSpell'' and from active wiki work. Unfortunately, [[Dew]] has made a series of poor decisions that I can't support—whether through continued wiki editing or playing the game itself. He's dropped the ball significantly, doesn't seem concerned, and has shown '''zero''' appreciation for those of us who have dedicated days of our lives to supporting his project. | |||
This lack of respect has affected not just me, but also the volunteers who built and managed the [https://discord.gg/HighSpell official Discord], and to a lesser extent, even the [[HighLite]] client.
