Hello! My name is Ryan. I go by the same name in-game, so feel free to say hi if you see me around! I'm also known as Spegal.Dev, or more casually, The Wiki Guy. I am the lead developer and host of this wiki.
I started playing HighSpell on May the 4th, 2025, and instantly fell in love with it. As someone who began playing RuneScape in early 2001, this game was right up my alley.
After noticing that the old Fandom wiki was outdated and impossible to edit, I offered to host a new version — this one! I didn't know much about wikis at the time, just some light editing experience on other projects (Brighter Shores & RuneScape). Learning how to set everything up here has been a challenge, but also incredibly rewarding. Thankfully, Elvendaele was a huge help in importing data directly from the game files when we first launched the wiki.

Departure from HighSpell
Over the summer of 2025, I made the decision to step back from HighSpell and from active wiki work. Unfortunately, Dew has made a series of poor decisions that I can't support—whether through continued wiki editing or playing the game itself. He's dropped the ball significantly, doesn't seem concerned, and has shown zero appreciation for those of us who have dedicated days of our lives to supporting his project.
This lack of respect has affected not just me, but also the volunteers who built and managed the official Discord, and to a lesser extent, even the HighLite client. Many of our emails and DMs have gone unanswered. Dew has not respected us as contributors, nor his wider player base.
Because of this, I've stepped back indefinitely. I wish the best for those who continue to play and contribute. Good luck.
